Program Notes

Digital Drizzle is my first fixed media piece in which I experimented with sampling. It aims to create a vivid sonic image of a lone figure in a city, lost in thought and lost in a sea of raindrops. The piece captures the emotional weight of loneliness and despair, as well as the sense of disconnection and “being left behind” that can result from living in an increasingly fast-paced and digital world.
